Two titles that i hold very dear are wife & mom. My husband and I met in college in 2002. We met in an English class at my Alama Mater and had instant chemistry. Even though he asked me out all the time, I always turned him down... We remained really good friends for a year and hung out all the time. Finally, in September 2003, he asked me (again) to come over and hang out once he got back in town from Philly. So, i agreed. I was randomly really nervous to hang out - even though we hung out all the time! I considered him one of my best guy friends. Anyway, we hung out that night and the rest was history...
We are not perfect, by any means, but we love each other and have worked through the hard parts. We dated until December 23, 2005 - which is the day that my husband got down on one knee and proposed. Yes, we were one of those couples that stayed together and never did the whole break up - get back together a million times. (i hate it when couples do that!). We were engaged for nine months, until we got married on a beautiful, warm fall day... September 23, 2006.
We celebrated our 5 year anniversary last September! Time sure does fly, it feels like we just got married. I feel lucky everyday to have met such an amazing man that i get to share my life with.
After 3 years of marriage, we had a HUGE life changing experience! We found out i was expecting our daughter - Haylie. After 9 months of puking and taking the lovely nausea medication, Zofran, I gave birth to our perfect baby girl on May 13, 2010. She was such a little peanut, at 5lbs 13oz... Oddly enough, she was born on 5/13/10 and weighed 5lb 13oz! She has been such a blessing to our life and is the mostly amazing little girl in the world. We have nicknamed her "little miss" and, let me tell you, the title fits! She is already a little diva that likes skirts, purses, jewerly, make-up, etc! She has the cutest little laugh and talks up a storm (and generally creates somewhat of a tornado mess everything she gets into).
We also have two crazy dogs... one lab & one weim. Even though they generally drive us crazy, they are very sweet & very cuddly.... Yes, our 90lb weim thinks shes a lap dog and will get on the couch and try to lay on top of you!
One thing about people never think is that i LOVE the outdoors. Yes, I love camping, hiking, etc, and i mean REAL camping in a tent, none of that RV stuff for me. One of the best vacations my husband & I went on before i got pregnant was to Yellowstone National Park & Grand Tetons National Park. Amazing, Beautiful, Breathtaking are a few words to describe. Spent the days hiking and evenings camping (yes, with no showers, eek!). An experience i will never forget...
