I found this picture on pinterest.. seriously, look at that face!
So, i decided to throw a 'baby elephant' themed birthday for my daughters 1st birthday. Yes, it was last May, but i figured i would blog the idea if anyone was interested.
So, i saw this pictures below... i can't remember the website, but i saved the pictures:
Seriously, how cute are these pictures! I wish i could find the blog i found these from... too cute!
So, i bought the Martha Stewart Elephant Punch and bought a Fiskars Circle Cutter and Fiskars Scallop Punch and decided to make my own. I got some lollipop sticks off the web and had my little sister help me make them! They were cute and fun to make.
Items we used:
cardstock
elephant punch
circle cutter
scallop punch
lollipop sticks
glue gun
scrapbooking double sided stickers
ribbon
puffy scrapbook stickers
Directions: Cut out circles, punch out the scalloped punch, and punch out the baby elephants. Once you've done all those, you will need to start assembling the topper. With the "puffy stickers", stick the baby elephant to the scallop punch. You want the lollipop stick to be between the circle and scallop punch. So, put a drop of hot glue on circle and scallop punch and glue that together. That way the whole topper has a 3-D effect. Once they dry, tie a ribbon on the stick :)
Here was the outcome of the cupcake toppers:
My sister and I also made a happy birthday banner! It was so cute and super easy to make! I found a few ideas on Etsy & decided to make my own.
Items we used:
Cardstock (same that we used for elephant toppers)
Single Punch
Scrapbook Paper Cutter
Ribbon
Glittery Letters
Directions: We first cut out 3 1/2 inch squares from card stock, then cut 2 inch white circles. We glued the glittery letters to the circles. Then, glued the white circles to the squares. With the single punch, we punched one hole in each of the top corners. Then, with a single ribbon, tied each letter together. Then, with all the ribbon colors, we tied the ribbon strands to the single ribbon. Super Easy & Cute!!
Other things we did to decorate at the party.... The colors were pink, teal, purple, lime. So, i got those colors in jelly beans & m&m's and set those out on the table. Also, i bought a picture frame with canvas and had everyone write her a little note. We decorated all the tables with little elephant punches and scalloped punches with cupcakes. We had so much fun decorating!
And... Here was the birthday girl... such a cutie!!
Now, i'm trying to think of ideas for my little miss's 2nd birthday party!
Any Ideas??
